Synopsis: Continuation and extension of work begun in MGR1070. Topics studied include the Great Idea; the Asia Minor Catastrophe; the Cyprus Problem; Tachtsis0s Trito stefani; and perceptions of Greek national identity.

Assessment: Essay (2000 words in English or Greek): 25% + Examination (2 hours): 50% + Language assignments and exercises, oral test: 25%
