Dr I Rasaratnam, Dr W Sievert and Dr H Newnham 8-week rotation (integrated with an 8-week surgery rotation) + continuous attachment to hospital medical wards Synopsis: Involvement in all medical unit activities, rostered attendance at emergency medicine departments and regular clerking of patients. Tutorials and seminars covering all major medical specialty areas, investigative medicine, management of major medical illnesses and palliative care. Bedside tutorials covering history and examination skills. Presentation of detailed case reports with relevant literature review. Interaction with paramedical staff in the hospital environment. Assessment: Continuous assessment and documentation of case report and literature + Review: 30% + Clinical examination: 30% + MCQ examination: 40% |
