Associate Professor C A Browne and Professor W A Anderson Synopsis: This subject introduces the principles of renal function. The subject emphasises the /horizontal0 integration between renal medicine and cardiovascular, respiratory and endocrinological medicine, and the /vertical0 integration between the basics of renal function and their application in such areas as body volume and blood pressure regulation, electrolyte homeostasis, and acid-base balance.
