MCM5301Clinical practice I(MED)
Professor M Wahlqvist & Dr K Dawson 12 points + Third semester + Clayton campus Synopsis: The diagnostic skills essential in different areas of medicine by allowing students to participate in the diagnosis of patients in a supervised clinical setting. The clinical settings may include consultative, investigatory, procedural, surgical, or other clinical settings that contribute to the diagnosis of patients. The application of the knowledge acquired earlier in the course will provide a solid foundation for moving confidently into this higher patient contact subject in a chosen area of speciality (such as Surgery, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Epidemiology, Rural Medicine, Nutrition, or the possible interdisciplinary combinations).
