(MED)

Professor D Healy

6 points + Second semester + Clayton campus

Synopsis: Using tutorial discussion sessions, students will build on their knowledge gained in the subject Evidence-Based Medicine, Quality Assurance & Clinical Audit to formulate a clinical question related to their area of interest and to develop a literature review on the topic that can be incorporated into a high standard research proposal that may later be submitted. Involvement in clinic and ward rounds associated with Obstetrics & Gynaecology will complement this task by demonstrating some of the many problems in Obstetrics & Gynaecology that may be relevant to the formulation of an appropriate research question, as well as augment clinical skills already gained in clinical practice.

Assessment: One literature review: (50%) + One oral case study: (20%) + One written examination: (30%)
