Dr B Hsu-Hage & Professor L Pitterman 6 points + Second semester + Clayton campus Synopsis: Information about different aspects of health promotion not only has applications within the broad community, but also can have potential beneficial applications within the context of treating individual patients. This subject deals with the application of health promotion to the benefit of individual patients, by providing theoretical knowledge about the approaches and applications (such as behavioural modification) that can be used at an individual level. Assessment: One written short answer question examination: (40%) + One OSCE relating to the application of behavioural change models within the clinical context: (25%) + One videotaped simulated consultation: (35%) |
