J M Betts first semester; R J Willis summer semester 6 points + 3 hours per week + First semester + Clayton Synopsis: The principles, techniques and applications of computer models in business and industry. Topics include computer spreadsheets, project management, operations research techniques and other decision support systems. Each topic is illustrated with a user-friendly computer package for use on a personal computer. Students use computer models to carry out sensitivity analyses to allow a range of different outputs/inputs to be examined. Assessment: Written case study: 30% + Examination (2 hours): 70% |
