Wills and administration of estates

3 credit points + Intensive + Average workload (including student's own time on exercises and study): 42 hours per week for one week + Clayton

Synopsis: This subject is concerned with the development of practical skills in the drafting of wills, preparation of probate, and administration of estates. The particular skills to be addressed are legal research and analysis, awareness and use of learning strategies, practice management, oral and written communication, and negotiation. The values that will be considered include the recognition and resolution of ethical conflicts, awarenss of personal values and understanding of professional values.

Assessment: One written assessment: 100% + Competence will be assessed according to the grades "Merit", "Pass" or "Fail".
