Professional regulation and conduct

2 credit points + Intensive + Average workload (including student's own time on exercises and study): 42 hours per week for one week + Clayton

Synopsis: The subjects deals with the regulation of the legal profession and the statute, rules and ethical principles relating to the conduct of practitioners. It is concerned with the nature of ethics and their relationship with moral values. The skills further developed are research and analysis, oral and written communication and practice management. The subject will explore the recognition and resolution of ethical conflicts and the awareness and understanding of personal and professional values.

Assessment: Two written assessments: 50% each. Assessed according to grades of "Merit", "Pass", or "Fail"
