Synopsis: Libertarian, liberal, socialist, feminist and communitarian theories of justice; concepts of liberty, equality, rights and the public interest; the nature of morality and moral inquiry.

Assessment: Research assignment (3000 words): 40% + Final examination (1.5 hours): 45% + Class participation: 15%
