LAW7008Comparative labour relations law(LAW) Not offered in 2001 6 credit points + One 2-hour seminar per week + Clayton Synopsis: This subject will study the rationale for and the principles underpinning the study of labour relations, together with a survey of recent international trends in both collective bargaining and trade unionism. Areas of study will include the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe (including Great Britain and Germany) as well as the Australian conciliation and arbitration system. Assessment: Research assignment (3750 words): 50% + Take-home examination (3000 words): 40% OR Final examination (1.5 hours): 40% + Class participation: 10% |
