Ms Elizabeth Lanyon 6 credit points + Three 1-hour lectures per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: LAW2100, LAW3400, LAW4169 + Prohibited combinations: LAW4201 Synopsis: This subject introduces students to the nature and function of trusts in the modern Australian legal system. Students learn how trusts are used and learn the rules governing their existence. In particular, the rules governing the creation and administration of trusts, and the rights and obligations of parties to trusts are taught. Assessment: Optional written assignment (3000 words): 40% + Final Examination (1.5 hours plus reading and noting time): 60%, OR Final examination (2.5 hours plus reading and noting time): 100% |
