JPS2150Japanese culture: identity and tradition(ART)
Alison Tokita 6 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: First-year Japanese or other Asian language or Japanese or other Asian studies sequence or combination or other suitable disciplinary sequence + Prohibitions: JPS2140/3140 and JPS3150 Synopsis: This subject treats Japanese culture in the sense of the arts: verbal, visual and performing. It offers a broad perspective of Japanese cultural and artistic forms, allowing students to focus on areas of individual interest. Assessment: Essay (2000 words): 50% + Tutorial presentation and participation (Equivalent to 1500 words): 25% + Examination (1 hour): 25% |
