While not intended to bring students to a professional level, the course will enhance students' ability to perform the informal interpreting and translating tasks which many bi-lingual professionals are asked to undertake. It will also provide a good foundation for further study in this area.

Assessment: Mid semester test (1 hour): 20% + translation and interpreting exercises: 40% + Final tests (2 hours): 40%
