Current Issues in the Japanese Media

6 points + 4 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: Level D Japanese or equivalent + Prohibitions: JPL1520, JPL3520

Synopsis: This is an advanced level of spoken and written Japanese. It is designed to bring the student close to semi-native competence in the language, as well as enhancing their awareness of current issues in Japan and their ability to discuss current issues in Japanese.

Assessment: Final examination (2 hours): 45% + Regular Class Tests: 15% + Oral presentation and seminar participation: 20% + Written Assignments 20% + Assessment tasks and criteria will take into account the language level and background of students
