Japanese 2B: part 2

6 points + 4 hours per week + Second semester + Berwick + Prerequisites: JPL2250 or equivalent + Prohibitions: JPL1260, JPL1220, JPL2220

Synopsis: This is the second part of lower intermediate Japanese. It continues on from level B Japanese part 1 and aims to consolidate and further develop students' knowledge of Japanese in order to achieve pre-intermediate competence in spoken and written Japanese. The course is also designed to establish a firm foundation of linguistic, sociolinguistic and sociocultural knowledge, which can be creatively applied in a variety of situations, thereby providing a base for future study.

Assessment: Mid-semester test (50 minutes): 15% + Final examination (2 hours): 35% + Listening comprehension test: 15% + Speaking test: 10% + Quizzes and class performance: 10% + Assignment: 15%
