Advanced Japanese language in Japan

12 points + First or second semester or full year + Japan + Prerequisites: An undergraduate major in Japanese with a third-year sequence at credit level or equivalent

Synopsis: This subject allows fourth year students to study in Japan at a recognised tertiary institution. Individual study plans based on Japanese proficiency and the host institution's program s are negotiated with the coordinator. Students will normally enrol in a subject or subjects formally offered by the institution concerned, based on the study plan agreed to before departure. The workload for his subject will be not less than that required for a 12-point subject at Monash University and will normally be completed over approximately 3-4 weeks for intensive programs, or over a semester or two semesters when combined with other study.

Assessment: Coursework test (2 hours): 50% + Examination (2 hours): 50%
