ITA2070Italian language IIA(ART)
M Cicioni 6 points + 4 hours per week + First semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: ITA1080 Synopsis: The subject integrates two components: (i) Language and (ii) aspects of Italian culture. The aim of the subject is to stimulate and improve advanced language acquisition through the integrated practice of the four language skills. The program has a thematic approach. Among the topic areas explored are: education (specifically at tertiary level), social issues such as feminism, marriage and divorce, the environment, changes in attitudes relating to the use of standard language and dialects, immigration (in contrast to migration) in the Italian context. Assessment: End-of-semester test (1.5 hrs): 30% + Continuous assessment of oral, aural and written tasks and/or assignments: 40% + Two class tests: 30% |
