12 points + 35 hours per week, 6 weeks intensive + Summer or Winter semester + Indonesia

Synopsis: Students who enrol at this level have no (or little) previous knowledge of Indonesian. Their results will be accredited at beginners level. Students are taught at the Indonesian Studies Centre of Gadjah Mada University in classroom and tutorial contexts, and attend special lectures on culture, daily life and art, as well as joining special excursions.

Assessment: Two progress tests: 30% + Final written examination 50% + Daily assignments: 10% + Participation: 10%
