IMS5052Enterprise resource planning systems(IT)
A Barnden 6 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: IMS9001, IMS9003 Synopsis: Provides students with an understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their use within the business environment. Concentrates on issues, problems and strategies concerning the development, implementation and management of ERP systems. Includes approaches to selecting, tailoring and implementing ERP systems, their infrastructure and technology architecture requirements, their use within organisations, and the strategic opportunites they offer. Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 60% + Practical work (assignment and exercises): 40% |
