Synopsis: The nature of multimedia systems and the multimedia systems development process. Themes include the activities involved in the systems development process; the tasks and responsibilities of the participants in the process, and the attributes and competencies which are needed in order to carry out these tasks successfully. Characteristics of multimedia systems and their implications for the development process required to build them.
