GSC2310Social policy: developing the links(ART)
John Solas 6 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Gippsland and distance + Prerequisites: GSC1305 Synopsis: This subject provides an overview of social policy in Australia. Focusing on the concepts of social justice, freedom, equality and participation, the major institutional structures involved in social policy development in Australia are examined with particular reference to the role of the state, the public service and political parties. Models of policy process are examined as they are applied to particular policy areas. Assessment: Policy assignment (2500 words): 50% + Examination (2 hours): 50% |
