6 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Gippsland and distance + Prerequisites: All first-year level subjects for Diploma of Arts (Social Welfare)

Synopsis: This subject recognises the organisational context of all welfare practice and will therefore attempt to explore the ways this context can affect practice interventions. The subject aims to prepare students for the increasing number and range of management functions embodied in many welfare positions today, with an emphasis on project planning and current trends in resourcing.

Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 40% + Program planning assignment (2500 words): 60%
