Synopsis: This subject is a basic introduction to the concepts, theories and research developed in sociological studies of work and technology. Particular emphasis will be placed upon the fundamental influences work and technology have on societies. The influence of working life and technological development on the social careers of individuals will also be emphasised.

Assessment: Assignment (1200 words): 25% + Assignment (1800 words): 40% + Examination (1.5 hours): 35%
