Synopsis: The unit provides an understanding of the essential qualities required for effective interviewing in welfare practice. Through practice, continuing beyond this subject, students prepare for the development of sound counselling skills.

Assessment: Two assignments (1000 words each): 25% each + Workbook: 50%
