Synopsis: History, theory and practical rationale of four major research strands: quantitative, qualitative, interpretive and critique. Research as a tool to validate the researcher0s hypotheses, design, implementation and method required in a research thesis.

Assessment: Literature review 25% + Stats exercises 25% + Proposal 35% + SCERH (Ethics) proposal 15%
