6 points + 4 hours of lectures, tutorials and supervised studio work and 8 hours of independent study per week + First semester + Caulfield + Prerequsite: completion of first year BFA,BVA,BAppA + Elective

Synopsis: This subject provides Art and Design students with an elective option in textiles and a studio experience in a textile discipline. Students will, in consultation with the lecturer, initiate and resolve a number of projects around a textile concept, method or technique. Group and individual tutorials will support students in their exploration and will provide useful feedback and advice. Additionally, slide talks, visiting artists, gallery and museum visits supplement and support studio investigations.

Assessment: By folio 100%, including an initial project of no less than 20%.
