6 points + 5 studio hours and 7 hours of independent study + First semester + Caulfield + Prerequisite: Enrolment in a Monash degree + Prohibitions: Any Art & Design course + Elective Synopsis: An intensive program facilitating the acquisition of skills in visual perception, including a command of proportion, the representation of three dimensional form, the creation of space and an understanding of the inner structure of forms. Observation, analysis, selection, interpretation and expression are studied through sequential projects, with the use of manufactured and natural forms including the human figure.
