6 points + First semester + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Malaysia + Prerequisite: ETW1102 + Prohibition: ETW1010 and ETW1031

Synopsis: Sampling designs and inference; confidence limits and tests on means, proportion, differences. Cross tabulation, with chi square, components of chi square and lambda. Simple and multiple linear regression: regression with non-linear terms; regression with dummy variables. Introduction to analysis of variance and experimentation. Uses Excel.

Assessment: Test (1 hour): 25% + Examination (2x2 hours): 75%
