ENH2050The reader in history(ART)
H Love 6 points + 2 hours per + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: A first-year sequence in English or permission + Prohibition: ENH3050 Synopsis: The premise of this subject is that an education in 'English' is about learning to understand a variety of reading practices and that these can be historically contextualised. The approach will be chronological, moving forwards from practices that still have a strong oral component to present-day models of interpretative reading. Assessment: Exercise (1500 words): 30% + Essay (2000 words): 40% + Test (1 hour): 20% + Attendance and participation: 10% |
