Synopsis: Topics covered are: basic mechanics in 1D - forces, momentum, work-energy; simple cases of static structures; electrical circuits, Ohms Law, series and parallel resistors, capacitor time constant; force on currents and moving charges in magnetic fields, induced emf; basic wave properties in the context of sound, superposition, standing waves in simple systems; photon model of light and wave model of particles.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Assignments, tests and laboratory: 30%
