Synopsis: Research methods for studying how curriculum issues are identified, clarified and worked through in particular unit areas. Issues of equity and inclusiveness, conceptions of quality in learning, ethnicity and multiculturalism, assessment of learning outcomes, integration of knowledge from various unit fields and use of educational technology in specific areas such as mathematics, language studies, science and technology, computing and the social sciences.

Assessment: Major assignment (8000 words) negotiated topic which must focus upon some aspect of curriculum practice and demonstrate research competence: 100%
