Synopsis: The range and scope of research in language and literacy studies. Key issues and political dimensions of research in language and literacy studies. Theoretical paradigms and associated research techniques. The unit caters for students with research interests in first language, second language, and languages other than English. Educational contexts include P-12, language and literacy studies in workplace and community settings in Australian and international contexts.

Assessment: One 6000-word essay, produced in three stages: 100%
