EDF6111Teaching languages for specific purposes - theory, context and method(EDU) Not offered in 2001 Ms M-T Jensen 12 points + Second semester + 3 hours per week + Clayton Synopsis: The evolution of the teaching, theory and methodology of languages for specific purposes in the past twenty years, internationally and in Australia. The reason for the increasing proliferation of such courses. The specialist language needs of LSP learners; the expectations and requirements of funding bodies; the on-going challenge of providing appropriate course design, materials and methodologies. If possible participants should have some experience in LSP course delivery, with either adults or children. Assessment: Log (2500 words): 30% + Assignment (3500 words): 70% + Class participation and attendance |
