Synopsis: Recent developments in curriculum research and evaluation. Topics include theory and method of evaluation; techniques in evaluation; evaluation and policy-making; notions of accountability, school evaluation and teacher evaluation. The unit does not aim to develop expertise in educational measurement or statistical analysis.

Assessment: Written /Evaluate an evaluation0 study, or major essay topic or preparation of a case study (4000 words): 50% + Conduct of an evaluation and oral presentation: 50%
