6 points + 3 hours per week + First semester + Clayton (on-campus) + Gippsland (off-campus) + Prerequisites: Music major + Corequisite: EDF5450

Synopsis: An extension of the studies undertaken in EDF5450, especially the development of school instrumental teaching (its practices and organisation), school performance ensembles (bands, choirs, orchestras), musical theatre productions, conducting and music technology.

Assessment: Philosophical statement (ungraded hurdle requirement) + Reflection on teaching: 50% + Teaching material development 50% + Student participation in the unit is vital either on-campus or via the on-line forum.
