EDF5422Communication, learning and assessment(EDU) Proposed to be offered next in 2002 Dr D Corrigan & Ms J Brown 6 points + 3 hours per week + First semester + Clayton (on-campus)/Gippsland (off-campus) + Corequisites: EDF5421 Synopsis: This unit is designed to introduce students to basic communication skills, including literacy skills, in more traditional forms as well as the pedagogy of using learning technologies in today's classrooms. Different learning styles and the way in which learning takes place and its relationship to teaching, and in particular teaching adolescents will also be investigated. Teaching and communicating with adolescents requires developing curriculum and assessment that meets the needs of multiple groups within the educational community and will be a major consideration in this unit. Assessment: Assignment (50%); journal (25%); structured response (25%) |
