EDF5249Methods and practice of teaching Visual Arts B(EDU)
Ms J Rosewarne-Foster 12 points + Full-year + Gippsland (distance) + Clayton (on-campus) Synopsis: This subject provides opportunities to develop teaching skills and knowledge in art history and appreciation. Particular emphasis is placed on contemporary Australian art in the context of the secondary school curriculum. Students will be required to design and demonstrate lessons and programs in the Visual Arts during their placement in schools. Assessment: Written exercise: 20% + Study guides: 35% + School experience file (not graded) + Curriculum design project: 45% + Successful completion of 25 days supervised school experience |
