EDF5248Methods and practice of teaching Visual Arts A(EDU)
Ms J Rosewarne-Foster 12 points + Full-year + Gippsland (distance) + Clayton (on-campus) Synopsis: This subject will provide an introduction to teaching and preparation strategies necessary for the secondary teacher of visual arts. Students taking this subject will have expertise in studio practice; ability in drawing, painting, print making, sculpture or ceramics is required. Students will be encouraged to draw upon their knowledge of studio arts to design and implement lessons suitable for a range of levels in the secondary school. Assessment: Art biography: 20% + Study guides: 35% + School experience file (not graded) + Curriculum design project: 45% + Successful completion of 20 days supervised school experience |
