EDF5244Methods and practice of teaching Jewish studies(EDU)
Mr M Kingsley 12 points + 2 hours per week + Full-year + Clayton + Prerequisites: Recognised three-year degree or equivalent qualification. Preferred candidates must have undertaken studies in one or both (1) Hebrew literature (2) Language and Jewish studies/history + A working knowledge of basic Hebrew is recommended Synopsis: The nature and aims of Jewish education, methodologies for Jewish education and how to plan units of work. Specialised electives include in-depth studies in text-based, history or broadly-based Judaic studies. Assessment: Work requirements, resources and seminar preparation: 20% + Essay (1500 words): 30% + Major assignment (developing a unit of work, 2000 words): 50% |
