EDF5210Methods and practice of teaching business studies I(EDU)
Ms A Forsyth 12 points + 3 hours per week + Full-year + Gippsland + Prerequisite: Any, or combinations of, Accountancy, Economics or Business Studies at least to the 2nd year level at recognised tertiary institution Synopsis: This subject develops knowledge and skills about teaching and learning in secondary schools in Business Studies related teaching. Students will learn how Business Studies has been incorporated in the National Curriculum Initiatives and the quest for a quality, relevant and effective school level education in Australia. An appreciation of the impact of the Curriculum and Standards Framework on curriculum development will be understood as students become familiar with employment related Key Competencies. Students will investigate the development in Business Studies curriculum from Year 7 to 12 and become familiar with other business study areas. Assessment: Three assignments: 25%, 30%, 45% |
