Lecturer-in-charge for Clayton (TBA) + Dr K Stead (Gippsland) 6 points + 2 hours per week + Full year (Clayton-on campus) + Semester one (Gippsland-by distance) Synopsis: Principles of teaching derived from the educational research literature and from the experiences of skilled practitioners. Planning and organising learning environments, monitoring growth and development, skills for effective curriculum development and implementation. Specifying objectives, teaching strategies for achieving objectives, gathering data on teaching and learning behaviour, and methods for evaluating the outcomes of instructional events. The subject should be taken concurrently with methods and practice of teaching. Assessment: Regular attendance at classes + Major and minor assignment work: 100% |
