6 points + 2 hours per week plus practicum + First semester + Peninsula + Prerequisites: EDF1503, EDF2507, EDF3508 or equivalent

Synopsis: Leading a team in integrated curriculum development. Planning to meet the needs of individual and groups of children (3-5 year olds). Issues of developmental and cultural appropriateness. Learning as a process and the role of the teacher in facilitating the process. Twenty-five days of supervised practicum in an early childhood centre for 3-5 year old children.

Assessment: Assessment: Pass grade only (PGO) - Folder of observations and plans for focus children + Reflective Journal plus essay + Hurdle requirement: Satisfactory completion of practicum and all tutorial tasks.
