Synopsis: The nature of educational research and the different kinds of formal research methods in this field. Students decide on a research topic, determine the most appropriate method to answer the research question or pursue the research topic, plan its execution and prepare a formal research project.

Assessment: Two assignments (2000 words each): 50% each
