Disabilities Studies 3 (Behavioural and Emotional)

6 points + First Semester + Clayton + On-Campus + 2 hours per week

Synopsis: This subject has been designed to meet the needs of primary and secondary teachers wishing to further their knowledge of disability as it relates to behavioural and emotional difficulties. This subject will be included in the schedule of subjects offered to third year students enrolled in Bachelor of Educational Studies.

Assessment: A critical essay reviewing the literature in depth on a selected approach to assessment and intervention for students with behavioural and emotional difficulties (1600 words) (40%); Review of a current program for students with behavioural and emotional difficulties (1600 words) (40%); Practical Exercise (800) (20%)
