Synopsis: The interplay of science, technology and society in a global society. Societal, cultural and policy issues associated with scientific discoveries and technological innovation. How science and technology have shaped twentieth-century society, especially the roles of popular culture, information, and communication technology and in changing images of science. Other issues include ethical and moral considerations of scientific research, and future possibilities.

Assessment: Science fact or fiction essay 30% + Group lego technic model and folios: 70%
