EDF3105Teaching Studies B(EDU)
Dr G Hurworth (Peninsula) + Mr M Dyson (Gippsland) 6 points + 2 hours per week + Full-year + Peninsula, Gippsland + Prerequisites: EDF2105 Synopsis: This subject is made up of two modules: Foundations Of and Approaches to Teaching and Learning (Semester One), and The Teacher as a Member of the School Community (Semester Two). Module One is designed to provide students with the opportunity to examine their own and others' experiences as a basis for their understanding of teaching and learning processes. Module Two is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills related to whole school planning and fostering collaborate partnerships with colleagues, parents and the wider community, including a knowledge of organisational structures within schools (eg, School committees and Council Fieldwork of up to 30 days. Assessment: Reflective Journal (Module 1 and 2), 5000 words + Satisfactory completion of a Practicum Program of up to 30 days + Pass grade only + Hurdle requirement: 80% attendance for workshop components. |
