EDF1604Introduction to outdoor recreation education(EDU)
Mr B Wattchow 6 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Gippsland + 8 days fieldwork Synopsis: Philosophy, principles and practices of outdoor adventure pursuits. Studies include an awareness of the profession, delivery styles, tools and settings. Practical skills at the introductory level selected from bushwalking, climbing and abseiling, cross country and downhill skiing, canoeing and kayaking, rafting and surfing. Leadership styles and judgement. Assessment: Class test: 40% + Assignment work and practical performance assessment: 60% |
