Music in Early Childhood

6 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Peninsula

Synopsis: This unit aims to provide students with a comprehensive awareness of the theoretical and practical aspects of the role of music in promoting learning and well being within early childhood education. Students will explore the use of singing, instruments and musical repertoire. In addition, they will develop a folio of resources.

Assessment: Class test: 20% + Folio of exercises: 30% + Practical test: 50% + Hurdle Requirement: 80% attendance for workshop components.
