Synopsis: Computer awareness The development of a conceptual model of a computer system; hardware, software and their interrelationships. The processor : peripheral devices: types and capabilities. Windows environments. File management Storage and maintenance. Software Operating systems; system utilities; user applications including word-processing, databases, spreadsheets , and World Wide Web.

Assessment: Review of school site on Internet (1500 words): 20% + Folio: 40% + Examination: 40% (2 hours)
